A native macOS menu bar timer for starting reminders from a typed prompt.
Type requests such as:
zoom with fred in 10
tea in 30 seconds
deep work for 25 minutes
Prompt Timer keeps the countdown out of the way, then alerts you and opens the requested app when it is time.
Download the latest macOS disk image from GitHub Releases.
Prompt Timer requires macOS. Release disk images are signed and notarized for distribution outside the Mac App Store.
- Download the latest
.dmgfrom GitHub Releases. - Open the disk image.
- Drag Prompt Timer to Applications.
- Launch Prompt Timer and allow notifications when prompted.
This repository hosts public releases, product documentation, and issue tracking. The application source is maintained separately.
Use GitHub Issues for reproducible bugs and feature requests. Include your macOS version and the Prompt Timer release number, but do not include private calendar, meeting, or contact information.
