Unreal 5.5.2 -> Error C2039: 'RequestCurrentStats' is not a member of 'ISteamUserStats'.

I am encountering an error when trying to compile the project with the plugin. It tries to call RequestCurrentStats() on ISteamUserStats. The compiler reports that RequestCurrentStats is not a member of ISteamUserStats.

Im using Unreal 5.5.2, with the latest version of Steam SDK downloaded from steamworks website

As you can see the method is commented out on ISteamUserStats in the screenshot, but this is a direct copy from the repo, so Im assuming that this is written somewhere else that I couldnt find

I'm not sure, but I believe I didn't find a solution back then.

I ended up getting a copy of the plugin from a coworker at the time. His copy was an older version, I believe. And that one worked

Are you using 5.7? If you don't mind would you be able to send me that version?
Edit just saw you are using 5.5.2

Also, were you using Advanced Sessions Steam?

sorry, I don't have access to it anymore :( I no longer work at that company, and the plugin was being used in a project there.

And yes, we were using Advanced Steam Sessions as well.

Hi there, I am encountering the exact same error when trying to compile the plugin.
I cloned the repo today and am trying to compile against Unreal 5.7.3

According to this comment in isteamuserstats.h, RequestCurrentStats is no longer required. So you can just change "SteamUserStats()->RequestCurrentStats();" to "return true;" Or just delete the function all together.
