Compaction timeouts are still occurring in 2026.3.2 with
openai-codex/gpt-5.3-codexin both manual (/compact) and automatic paths, and timeout failures can leave the active session lane stalled long enough that users perceive chat freezes. The report includes repeated 300s manual timeout evidence, automatic timeout snapshots, and lane-wait diagnostics, with requested direction around configurable/increased timeout, fast lane release on abort, and stronger circuit-breaking after repeated failures.Closes openclaw#38233
