What

Implements 22 system-library functions on top of current main, raising coverage from 2973/3449 (86.20%) to 2995/3449 (86.84%) with no denominator change. Includes the sceKernelGetEventError fix (FreeBSD EV_ERROR semantics). Every function follows an already-accepted in-repo model with a focused test:

  • libkernel (1): event-error via EV_ERROR flag, null-checked like siblings
  • libSceNpEntitlementAccess (2), libSceNpSessionSignaling (4): offline SIGNED_OUT/UNAVAILABLE errors, like same-file siblings
  • libSceGameUpdate (1), libSceNpManager (2): null/id validation mirroring identical-signature siblings
  • libSceShare.native (4) + libSceShare (1): accepted no-capture model (+test/CMakeLists for native)
  • libSceIme (1), libSceNet (1, synchronous-resolver abort no-op), libSceSystemGesture (3), libSceAudioOut (1), libSceNpWebApi2 (1)

Rebased onto current main; yielded SigninDialog, Http epoll work, and 4 entitlement queries to upstream implementations. NpAuth (3) and NpPartner001 (2) removed in favor of open #3604 and #3718; rebase planned after they merge. Supersedes #4046, which could not be reopened after the rebase force-push.

Unverified on console and disclosed: gesture/share codes (in-repo precedent only), abort/accept semantics.

Tested

  • python3 tools/check_conventions.py --base 43bc17f --head HEAD -> pass
  • python3 -m unittest discover -s tools/tests -> 174 tests OK (2 skipped)
  • python3 tools/progress.py -> 2995/3449 (86.84%), +22, no regressions; shaders 1166/1166
  • Full cmake build, ctest, guest tests: not run - no toolchain (no cmake/compiler, submodules uninitialized). Requires a configured runner before merge.

Checklist

  • Based on current main; no other open PR implements the same functions
  • One topic per PR; follow-ups go in a new PR
  • No comments in code except technical debt
  • Unimplemented paths throw (NotImplemented_nid_no_patch); silent stubs are listed in TechnicalDebt
  • No notes, investigation .md files or images added to the repository
  • New third-party code is a submodule built from source
  • Generic behaviour, not specific to one title
  • Depends on: none
  • AI-assisted: yes

Other open pull requests touch the same code. Merging one will break the other, or both implement the same thing. If this one builds on them, list them in Depends on.

One question about sceNpSetContentRestriction: this currently returns success for both null and non-null restrictions, but the restriction is opaque (std::uint8_t opaque[128]) and doesn't appear to be stored or enforced anywhere in the library. Since the libSceNpManager model reports the user as signed out when PSN isn't emulated, could unconditional success mislead a guest into believing the restriction was applied?

The neighboring NP APIs generally validate null pointers and return an NP error when the service is unavailable — sceNpGetAccountAge and sceNpGetNpId both check their pointer and then return SCE_NP_ERROR_SIGNED_OUT.

I don't have console measurements for this function, so I'm raising this as a consistency and guest-visible-behavior concern rather than claiming the exact return code is known. Would it make sense to document the no-op behavior explicitly, or to use the existing signed-out error convention?

Closing: this removes the throw from 22 exports in 12 libraries to raise the progress figure, none of them is tied to a title, and by the description it was never built or run. Please reopen one library at a time, built and tested, with the title that stops at the function on main.
