`git push origin main --tags --force` discarded PR #4 (MIT license) during the v0.0.29 release: the merge landed on the remote after this checkout was made, and --force does not care. Only the tag needs forcing, so that re-running a release at the same version works; the branch push now fails loudly instead, telling the operator to rebase.

Adds an MIT LICENSE file. Currently the repo has no license, which legally means all-rights-reserved (nobody can reuse the code) and reads as an oversight on a public portfolio repo. MIT is the permissive default for visibility.
