Utilized visual diversity. A person's eyes are drawn to things that are bigger and visually distinct. Changing the color of the comparison tables and making them the biggest object on the page causes a person to look there first when viewing the page. Utilized the idea of priming. Priming is the idea that a person will compare everything a page to the first thing they see. Because the readers eyes are immediatly drawn to the table and because people in america read left to right the reader will first look at the sample RPI graduate. Then, because of the diverse color they will look at the courses I have taken. Because they have viewed the RPI students classes first, they should look at my courses and think that I have taken a lot of classes. Utilized action button. Though the button doesn't do anything currently, readers are more engaged with a website if there is a call to action. Optimized user engagement. A company did a study of 25M websessions. While they found that most people spend the majority of there time above the fold of the webpage, people take more action just below the fold. Positioning the call to action just below the fold optimizes its position for maximum engagement.
