Thanks for this ❤️ gonna close this one in favour of switching to eslint, but it might take me a while to get around to. I want to prioritise solving issues for a while. 🙇🏼 |

This PR fixes #259 by updating both prettier and tslint. Then applies prettier on the whole code base via
yarn format.It also includes some refactoring to satisfy the no-shadowed-variable rule and disables the rule array-type.
