Taken from edestecd#64 but updated for current version of code.

Since the current state of this pull request cannot be merged, I went ahead and applied it fixing the conflicts in my fork on the master branch. I would not mind if a new pull request is opened, replacing this one, with my fork instead. Just thought I would bring this up here first. |
