uedev should be able to show compile status by itself

From 'man udev', I got:
"The udev rules are read from the files located in the system rules directory /lib/udev/rules.d (additionally /usr/lib/udev/rules.d when built
with --enable-split-usr),"
I needed two days of debugging, why a custom '70-persistent-net.rules' file does NOT work from '/etc/udev.d/'
but from: '/usr/lib/udev/rules.d'
From my small experience, the "-V" switch should give this information.
There is nothing in the distribution (using devuan) which tells something about this.
Using:
devuan 5 (daedalus),
eudev 3.2.12-4+deb12u1
