🎯 What: Modified discover_author_via_github in claw2manus/fetcher.py to catch specific exceptions (RequestException, ValueError, KeyError, IndexError) instead of catching a broad Exception. Also updated the corresponding test in tests/test_fetcher.py to raise a RequestException rather than a generic Exception.
💡 Why: Catching a broad Exception is an anti-pattern that can suppress unrelated errors and bugs, making the code harder to debug and maintain. Specific exceptions correctly scope the error handling to only network/request errors, JSON decoding issues, and missing elements within the JSON structure.
Verification: Verified by running the existing pytest test suite with PYTHONPATH=. /home/jules/.local/bin/pytest tests/, ensuring everything still passes.
Result: Improved code readability and maintainability by handling anticipated exceptions specifically, preventing unintended suppression of other errors.
