Screenshot your website programmatically

This script will take screenshots of your website programmatically by using Playwright in different viewpoints based on a configuration file.

Requirements

• MacOS, Linux or Windows with or without WSL (with subsystem for Linux)
• Node.js
• Playwright
• GIT
• (Optional) Visual Studio Code or others

Step-by-step guide

• Install Node.js if you have not.
• Clone the repository from GIT.
• Run npm install to install the node modules.
• Copy the example folder to your project (abc) folder.
• Update the projects/abc/config.json accordingly
• Screenshots will be saved in projects/abc/screenshots/ folder
• Usages:
  • Take screenshots for all viewpoints defined in screenshot.js: node screenshot.js -p abc
  • Take screenshots by emulating a supported device only: node screenshot.js -p abc -d "iPad Mini"
  • Take screenshots for a sepecified viewpoint: node screenshot.js -p abc -w 1900 -h 1200
