The happy path here is to submit a fix internally, which will automatically be synced to the GitHub repo. Accepting PRs directly to the GitHub repo is a nice-to-have that I may want to add at some point, but in the meantime I'll write up some documentation. |

Hi Daniel, our research intern was trying to run the clang-optimize script and he needs this fix. Don't know if I shall fix it in google3 then sync here or not. But for this time being, he can use this to proceed.
