### BREAKING CHANGES

* **dist:** Adds `"type": "package"` to the package.json file which indicates that this package is now distributed primarily (and solely) in the ES module format. Previously, the package was distributed in both ES and UMD module formats. Below is a list of the individual breaking changes regarding the package’s exposed module specifiers.
