Start the app
npx expo start

If expo sdk update is needed
# 1. Force-install the exact @types versions that SDK 54 requires (change to what SDK upd is req) npm install --save-exact @types/react@19.2.0 @types/react-dom@19.2.0 --force # 2. Clean everything rm -rf node_modules package-lock.json # 3. Fresh install of all dependencies npm install # 4. Let Expo fix every remaining package to SDK 54 versions npx expo install --fix
In the output, you'll find options to open the app in a
- development build
- Android emulator
- iOS simulator
- Expo Go, a limited sandbox for trying out app development with Expo
You can start developing by editing the files inside the app directory. This project uses file-based routing.
When you're ready, run:
npm run reset-projectThis command will move the starter code to the app-example directory and create a blank app directory where you can start developing.
