Chapter 100: If You Dare Touch Him, I'll Tear Down the Dungeon Hall

Exhaustion and Revival

After two consecutive dungeon runs totaling over 13 hours, Lin Moyu was utterly drained. However, under Shu Han's enthusiastic sales pitch, he ended up purchasing six bottles of fatigue potion.

Drinking one felt as if he were soaking in a hot spring—his exhaustion disappeared entirely, leaving him refreshed, even more so than after a deep sleep.

"How is it? Pretty good effect, right?"
Shu Han blinked her eyes, obviously proud of her potions.

"It's indeed very good,"
replied Lin Moyu, confirming its effectiveness.

This delighted Shu Han, who added,

"500 points, you didn't lose out. Now you can continue carrying people through the dungeon. So many people are waiting."

Indeed, the queue outside had grown even longer, with more people joining constantly. Clearing just one run earned Lin Moyu 39,000 points, an impressive rate. While the experience points gained were nice, his real goal was to find desert fruits again to max out several of his skills.

The Never-Ending Queue

Soon after, Lin Moyu led another team of 39 people into the dungeon. Even with these participants cleared, the queue didn't shrink but instead seemed to grow even longer. Word of his skills spread quickly, and those who had finished began calling their friends, urging them to seize the opportunity.

Meanwhile, over in Baili Academy, Baili Sheng received troubling news about Lin Moyu's achievements. Tapping on a stone table, he analyzed the situation:

"So he uses a corpse-based area damage skill. And has a skeleton army with super high attributes. Which means, as long as we restrict his summoning and there are no corpses, Lin Moyu is useless."

His analysis complete, Baili Sheng's eyes burned with hatred. Losing face and the academy's reputation stung deeply. He reflected on how Baili Academy could have claimed the new record, the Tyrant's Heart, and the prized boss accessory—if not for Lin Moyu. Jealousy seeped into his thoughts as he muttered,

"Go call Ling Zhen from Hidden Dragon Academy. Tell him I have something to discuss."

Relentless Progress

Back in the Dungeon Hall, Lin Moyu completed another dungeon run, this one taking seven hours. Feeling neither physical nor mental fatigue thanks to the potions, he pressed on. With 30 hours remaining until the opening ceremony, he calculated that he could complete five more runs, potentially earning 200,000 points. He also remained hopeful for another encounter with desert fruits.

Noticing Shu Han's absence, he guessed she had gone to rest.

"She probably went back to rest,"
he thought as he continued forming teams and entering dungeon after dungeon.

New Arrivals at Summer Capital University

The day before the opening ceremony, students from across the country began arriving at Summer Capital University. Senior students helped guide the new arrivals, showing them their dormitories and giving campus tours. As the top university of the Divine Summer Empire, its grand scale and majestic architecture left many in awe.

Among the new arrivals was Xia Xue, who marveled at the beauty and extraordinariness of the university while being guided by a senior. After the tour, she returned to her dorm—a double room chosen for its balance between cost and privacy, as her mage studies required minimal disturbance. Despite the 1,000 points per month cost making her wince, it was the most practical choice given her tight budget of 9,600 points.

Reflecting on her situation, she couldn't help but envy Lin Moyu's wealth of over 30,000 points.

"I really envy that guy,"
she sighed,
"Principal Lu said Lin Moyu arrived here a few days ago. With his abilities, he's probably doing great. National top scholar, truly impressive."

Her thoughts of him made her feel both admiration and frustration at the vast gap in their abilities. Still, she consoled herself,

"Nevermind. He'll definitely show up at tomorrow's opening ceremony anyway."

Her dormitory door opened then, revealing a familiar face.

Xia Xue lit up, "It's you!"

Zuo Mei stared for a moment, then smiled. "What a coincidence!"

Both were delighted to discover they were now roommates.

The Brewing Debate

Over the next two days, Lin Moyu ran dungeon after dungeon, with the Lion Tyrant falling time and again. By now, he had almost run Tyrant Desert to the ground, dominating the leaderboard with unbreakable records.

Meanwhile, in Bai Yiyuan's courtyard, Ning Tairan stormed in, fuming.

"That kid you favor is causing too much trouble!"

"What happened?"
Bai Yiyuan asked, curious how such a calm person could stir controversy.

"He's charging people to carry them through Tyrant Desert, bringing 39 people per run! Those stuck on that mission for years are suddenly completing it!"
Ning Tairan raged, his voice rising.

Bai Yiyuan, however, laughed and slapped his thigh.

"The kid's got skills! He even thought of this. How much is he charging? Better not be letting those guys off too cheap!"

"You're missing the point!"
Ning Tairan's eyes widened.
"The university's missions are meant to screen excellent talents! This ruins the purpose!"

"Rules are rules,"
said Bai Yiyuan, unfazed.
"Find me one university rule that Lin Moyu has violated."

"You..."
Ning Tairan was left speechless.

Bai Yiyuan continued,

"I've long been dissatisfied with these missions. How many good students have been stuck just because they lacked the social skills to form teams? The system needs to change, and honestly, the kid’s done a great deed."

When Ning Tairan tried to argue further, Bai Yiyuan smirked.

"Touch Lin Moyu, and I'll tear down the Dungeon Hall myself."

Defeated, Ning Tairan stormed out while Meng Anwen chuckled.

"Old Ning's temper really can't be changed."

"A leopard can't change its spots,"
replied Bai Yiyuan, unbothered.
"This old man can only be handled by one person."

Meng Anwen smiled knowingly, both amused and impressed.
