The nar-maven-plugin is a Maven plugin to compile native components, i.e. platform-specific libraries compiled (at least partially) into machine code, such as C or C++ code. The name of the plugin refers to N-ative AR-chives (as opposed to pure J-ava AR-chives, so-called jar files).
