Thanks for the PR. Lint is failing. npm run lint before committing. Wish I had automated this

Since this a new OS for us and we are not experts, could you. can you create a git repo with a test case. We prefer an STM32F series Nucleo board. Something easily available and affordable.

It will also help to put the repo path in the source code.

I am fixing the lint errors. They crept up in other OSes as well

I fixed lint errors from other OSes. The Lint error here was a Github intermittent problem and got resolved by re-running the CI.

But the merge conflicts here are real, but seem trivial. Could you resolve the conflicts please?
