Sendspin/sendspin-cpp-cli#77, merged on 2026-10-07, makes apply_volume() assemble little-endian bytes at 16 and 32 bits, with a test built from bytes and a CI job under qemu-mips-static. It is not released yet, and the Opus and FLAC defects are still open, so @!BIG_ENDIAN stays. Add a status column to the byte-order tables, and drop the TODO about offering our harness as a regression test: upstream now has its own. Signed-off-by: Michaël Guay-Lambert <mguaylam.dev@gmail.com>
esphome-libs/micro-flac#54, merged on 2026-10-11, keeps the decoder's native-width packing paths to little-endian targets and sends big-endian ones through the byte-wise code, so packed PCM is little-endian on every host. sendspin-cpp calls the uint8_t* overload of decode(), the one this covers. It is not released (v0.2.0 is the latest), and sendspin-cpp still pins micro-flac v0.1.1, so it needs a release and a pin bump before it reaches this package. The Opus defect is still open, so @!BIG_ENDIAN stays. Signed-off-by: Michaël Guay-Lambert <mguaylam.dev@gmail.com>
Sendspin/sendspin-cpp#200, merged on 2026-10-12, byte-swaps Opus samples after opus_decode() on big-endian hosts and moves the host build to micro-flac v0.3.0, the release that carries esphome-libs/micro-flac#54. sendspin-cpp v0.9.4 shipped both the same day. All three byte-order defects are now fixed upstream, but @!BIG_ENDIAN stays: sendspin-cli has not released the volume fix nor pinned v0.9.4, and sendspin-cpp v0.9.x speaks only the rc1 protocol, so the fixes arrive with the rc1 bump, which waits for Music Assistant stable. Sendspin/sendspin-cpp#140 shipped in sendspin-cpp v0.9.0 on 2026-10-07, and aiosendspin 10.0.0 on 2026-10-05; the docs still called both unreleased. Music Assistant needs 2.11.0b4 or newer to talk to it, and its stable channel is still on 2.10, so the hold on the bump stands. Signed-off-by: Michaël Guay-Lambert <mguaylam.dev@gmail.com>

All three byte-order defects now have a fix merged upstream:
apply_volume()writes little-endian bytes at 16 and 32 bits, covered by a byte-built test and aqemu-mips-staticCI job. Not released; sendspin-cli 0.3.0 is still the latest.uint8_t*overload ofdecode(), the one it covers.opus_decode()on big-endian hosts, and the host build moves to micro-flac v0.3.0. Released in sendspin-cpp v0.9.4.Changes:
@!BIG_ENDIANstays. sendspin-cli has neither released the volume fix nor pinned v0.9.4, and v0.9.x speaks only rc1, so the fixes reach the package with the rc1 bump.
