Let your AI agent post to Facebook Pages and Instagram with sfeed.
Keep your drafts, media, and rules where they already live. Give your agent one prompt, connect Meta in the browser, review the post, and publish. Posting now is free. Pay only when you want scheduled posts to run later.
Meta production access is approved for Facebook Page and Instagram publishing.
Most of the product lives at sfeed.dev.

Read https://sfeed.dev and help me set up AI-powered social posting.
Ask me where my posts, media, and rules already live. If sfeed is missing, install it with https://sfeed.dev/install.sh. Connect my Meta accounts, inspect my Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts, and adapt to the workflow I already use.
Before publishing anything, show me the post, the account it will publish to, and whether it will post now or be scheduled.
That is the main flow. The agent can run the sfeed CLI directly. Add MCP when structured tools make the workflow cleaner.
Codex and Claude can install the sfeed plugin from this repo. The plugin bundles the sfeed skill and the local sfeed mcp server entry.
Users still need the local CLI and Meta auth state:
curl -fsSL https://sfeed.dev/install.sh | sh
sfeed auth facebook connect
sfeed auth instagram connect
sfeed destinationsRun the connection command only for each platform the user wants. Facebook connects selected Pages. Instagram connects a professional Business or Creator account directly and does not require a Facebook Page.
For Codex:
codex plugin marketplace add nem035/sfeed --sparse .agents/plugins --sparse plugins
codex plugin add sfeed@sfeedFor Claude:
claude plugin marketplace add nem035/sfeed
claude plugin install sfeed@sfeedThese GitHub marketplace installs are available now. Public directory approval is separate and is not claimed here; use the commands above. ChatGPT browser support will require a hosted, authenticated MCP service and is not available through this local plugin yet.
- Drafts, media, and rules stay on the user's machine
- The agent asks setup questions before creating a workflow
- Meta auth happens in the browser
- The user reviews the post and destination before publishing
- Posting now is free
- Hosted scheduling is paid because sfeed runs the post later
Facebook and Instagram connections are independent. An Instagram-only user runs
sfeed auth instagram connect; a Facebook-only user runs
sfeed auth facebook connect; a user who wants both runs both commands.
Your files can be anywhere: a repo, a notes folder, a calendar export, Markdown drafts, JSON, CSV, images in Downloads, or a project-specific content directory.
Your files stay local. Your agent reads whatever structure you already use. sfeed handles auth, posting, scheduling, previews, and the hosted queue.
curl -fsSL https://sfeed.dev/install.sh | sh

The signed install script is the only supported setup and update path.

The installable Codex and Claude plugin package lives in plugins/sfeed.
Run the deterministic release checks before publishing plugin changes:
npm test
claude plugin validate . --strict
claude plugin validate ./plugins/sfeed --strictBuild the OpenAI skills-only submission archive with:
npm run build:openaiThe OpenAI archive intentionally excludes the local stdio MCP declaration. The
repository plugins include the local sfeed mcp server for Codex and Claude
Code, while the reviewed OpenAI skills-only package works on surfaces that can
run the local sfeed CLI. A future public HTTPS MCP server can replace that
surface limitation.
These paths are examples only. The agent should use the files and folders the user already has.

Instagram supports feed media, Reels, Stories, and image-only carousels up to 10 items. Use --kind feed, --kind reel, --kind story, or --kind carousel when the media shape alone is not clear.
Owners can connect multiple Facebook businesses and inspect them with
sfeed auth facebook connections. Reconnecting the same business refreshes its
access. See connection management for selecting
Pages and previewing a targeted disconnect without removing other connections.
Agents with terminal access can use the CLI directly. Add MCP when the agent client supports structured tools and you want repeatable status, page, post, and schedule calls. Version 0.4.2 adds typed results and action annotations to all 18 tools, plus explicit recovery guidance for partial failures. Update the CLI using the install script, then restart the agent session to reload its MCP server.

"sfeed": {
"command": "sfeed",
"args": ["mcp"]

}Once connected, the agent can inspect status, choose the right publishing destination, post immediately, schedule posts, and manage the queue.
