Regarding the issue of PPT export

After clicking "Export PPTX", the page flashes briefly, and I'm not sure if the PPTX has been successfully generated. I don't know where the PPTX file is saved. I can't find the exported PPTX document in the "html--anything" directory.

A quick clarification first: if PPTX export succeeds, it should be saved by the browser as a downloaded file (usually your Downloads folder / browser download tray), not inside the local html-anything project directory.

The prompt you saw suggests the PPTX path tried to render/snapshot a slide, but the preview content measured as empty at export time. Could you share two details so we can narrow this down?

1. Does the preview pane show the deck/slides correctly before you click Export PPTX?
2. Which browser + OS are you using, and if possible, can you paste the generated HTML or say which template produced it?

I’ve labeled this as a bug for tracking. Once we have those details, we can tell whether this is a download-location confusion, a deck parsing issue, or the preview iframe failing to render before export.

Thanks, @yuchenyy2022 — these screenshots help a lot.

From them we can confirm the preview itself is rendering the deck, including the 31-slide case, so this no longer looks like a “no deck content” user-flow issue. The more likely path is inside the PPTX exporter: it creates an off-screen iframe for each slide, then snapshots it. There’s a race where the iframe can still measure as empty and throw preview has no content yet even though the visible preview has content.

I’ve marked this as help wanted because the likely fix should be in the browser export path (src/lib/export/deck.ts / src/lib/export/image.ts) rather than needing private project context. No more environment info needed for now — the Ubuntu + Firefox/Chrome screenshots are enough to move this into code investigation.

Update: @111wukong opened PR #72 to address this export path.

The PR targets the likely race we narrowed down here: the visible preview can render correctly, while the off-screen export iframe still measures as empty during PPTX/PNG-ZIP capture. It adds a longer iframe load guard, a layout-frame flush, and one retry before surfacing preview has no content yet.

Keeping this issue open until the PR lands and we can verify the export behavior from the issue thread.
