The way the documentation currently describes searching for ` x_830655_mm_std_servicenow_for_mattermost_notifications_auth_list.` doesn't work in the latest ServiceNow releases. The most straightforward way of accessing it now is straight trough the URL, and it is also the safest as it's backwards compatible all the way to the oldest still-supported ServiceNow releases (Utah / Vancouver) all the way through the latest (Zurich).
…attermost#9041) The "What happens to my subscription if I don't renew in time?" section only mentioned Enterprise and Professional plans being downgraded to Free when the grace period expires. Add Enterprise Advanced so all paid self-hosted plans are covered. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Extends the dedicated export filestore list with the matching Export* variants. Calls out the restart-required behaviour when changing file storage settings so admins know Save in System Console isn't enough on its own. ------ AI assisted commit * Add walk-through page for configuring Azure Blob Storage Folds the full prereqs, Azure portal/CLI provisioning, System Console walk-through, Test Connection semantics, restart-required warning, verification, optional export backend, and troubleshooting sections into a dedicated configure/azure-blob-storage page. Wires the new page into the configuration-settings toctree and bullet list, and adds a seealso link from the File storage section of environment-configuration-settings so admins can find it from the reference page. ------ AI assisted commit * Document migrating existing files from Amazon S3 Adds a Migrate existing files from Amazon S3 section to the Azure Blob Storage walk-through. Covers the recommended trickle-then-cutover pattern (long rclone sync, short AzCopy maintenance window), the prerequisites for the migration host, phase-by-phase commands, verification queries (object count parity, sha256 spot-check), the rollback path, and caveats (S3 versioning, sync vs copy, prefix rewrites, cross-region cost, Storage Mover preview status). Updates the migration note under step 4 and the troubleshooting entry for missing pre-cutover files to cross-reference the new section. ------ AI assisted commit * Document AzureCloud and the updated AzureEndpoint semantics Adds the AzureCloud setting documentation (commercial/government/custom) to both the environment configuration reference and the Azure walkthrough, rewrites the AzureEndpoint entry to reflect its new role as the full Blob service URL valid only when AzureCloud is custom, and removes the stale note that said sovereign clouds aren't configured through the endpoint override. Adds ExportAzureCloud to the dedicated export filestore key list. ------ AI assisted commit * Document DefaultAzureCredential authentication mode Restructures Step 3 of the Azure Blob Storage walk-through to cover both shared-key and the new default_credential authentication mode. The default_credential subsection walks an admin through picking the identity source that matches the host (managed identity on Azure VM/App Service/AKS, workload identity, service principal, az login) and granting Storage Blob Data Contributor on the storage account. Updates Step 4 to describe the new "Azure authentication" dropdown in the System Console, including the conditional visibility of the Azure Storage account key field. Adds AuthorizationPermissionMismatch to the troubleshooting table and documents the propagation delay that follows a fresh role assignment. Adds FileSettings.AzureAuthMode to the environment-configuration reference and to the ExportAzure* list under the dedicated export filestore section. ------ AI assisted commit * Simplify the docs * Update source/administration-guide/configure/azure-blob-storage.rst Co-authored-by: coderabbitai[bot] <136622811+coderabbitai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * Document Azure SAS support for presigned export downloads Add ExportAzurePresignExpiresSeconds to the dedicated export filestore key list, and generalize the presigned-download note so it reflects that exports can now be downloaded via an Azure Blob Storage SAS URL, not just an Amazon S3 presigned URL. ------ AI assisted commit * Address review comments * Add missing new line * Fix malformed quotes --------- Co-authored-by: coderabbitai[bot] <136622811+coderabbitai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: clarify ID attribute case sensitivity for AD/LDAP and SAML (mattermost#9020) Add notes to the AD/LDAP ID attribute, AD/LDAP Group ID attribute, and SAML ID attribute settings explaining that values are matched verbatim with no case normalization. Under PostgreSQL's default case-sensitive collation, a change in casing is treated as a new user or unlinked group, so the identity provider must return these attributes with consistent casing. …cate notifications (mattermost#9042) * docs: clarify GitHub webhook setup (org vs repo) and warn about duplicate notifications The GitHub plugin integration guide said to "create a webhook in GitHub for each GitHub organization you want to set up," which implied org-level webhooks were the only path and gave no warning about overlapping webhooks. Both organization-level and repository-level webhooks are valid and fully supported by the plugin (the webhook handler routes purely on the repository in the event payload and doesn't care about the delivering webhook's scope). However, the plugin posts once per delivery with no cross-webhook de-dup, so a repository covered by multiple webhooks (e.g. an org-level hook plus a repo-level hook) produces duplicate notifications. This updates the "Manual configuration" tab to: - state that org-level and repo-level webhooks are both valid, - add an .. important:: warning that exactly one webhook must deliver a given repository's events, since overlapping webhooks cause duplicate posts, - add a .. note:: about the misleading "No webhook was found for this repository or organization" message shown when subscribing to a specific repo while relying on an org-level webhook. Documentation-only. Motivated by support ticket 51590 (multi-node HA customer seeing triple-posted GitHub events from overlapping org + repo webhooks). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs: clarify org-level webhook note (replace, don't add, to avoid duplicates) Address review feedback: the note's final sentence could be read as telling users to add a repository-level webhook in addition to the organization-level one, which would cause the duplicate notifications warned about in the preceding .. important:: block. Reword to state the message is safe to ignore, and that avoiding it means delivering that repository's events through a repository-level webhook instead of the organization-level webhook -- not in addition to it. …ttermost#9028) * Split ports table into inbound and outbound sections Replaces the single wide table (which caused horizontal scrolling) with separate inbound and outbound list-tables for Mattermost Server and Push Proxy. Drops the redundant Direction column since direction is now conveyed by the section heading. * Tighten scope notes for Metrics and Push Proxy ports Metrics (8067) should only be reachable by trusted monitoring hosts (e.g. Prometheus), not exposed broadly. Push Proxy (8066) should only be reachable from Mattermost Server nodes. * Fix cluster port note: "HA only" is more precise than "Enterprise only" * Remove MySQL port reference from Database row in ports table --------- Co-authored-by: Eric Sethna <14333569+esethna@users.noreply.github.com>
…st#7072) (mattermost#9048) The file common-esr-support-rst.rst is designed to be included by multiple pages (releases-lifecycle.rst, version-archive.rst) but lacks the :orphan: and :nosearch: metadata. When accessed directly via URL, it displays '<no title>' in the browser tab and appears in site search results. Add :orphan: and :nosearch: directives to prevent it from being indexed or showing up in search, consistent with other included-only files like cloud-supported-integrations.rst and badge files. …attermost#8935) * MM-68316: recommend builtin DB readiness check for K8s deployments Updates the Kubernetes deployment guides — particularly the air-gapped deployment guide — to recommend spec.database.readinessCheck.mode=builtin as the primary approach, removing the requirement to mirror postgres:13 into air-gapped registries. Several examples across the admin and deployment guides don't run or render as written: - comply/electronic-discovery: the curl example had the closing single quote after the URL, putting the URL inside the Authorization header value. Moved it to right after the token. - configure/CJK search: missing semicolon after CREATE EXTENSION zhparser. - manage/health-check-probes: the Go import used a github.com/.../tree/master web URL and an unbalanced quote; replaced with the real import path. - onboard/sso-entraid: the Microsoft Entra ID hyperlink was missing its opening backtick, so it didn't render as a link. - scale/enterprise-search: opensearch used triple backticks; reStructuredText inline literals are double backticks (elasticsearch on the same line is). - upgrade/admin-onboarding-tasks: cross-reference display text read 'mmctl user deletall'; the command is deleteall (the ref target spells it). - upgrade/upgrading-postgres: the catalog is pg_statistic, not pg_statistics. - desktop/linux-install: rpm upgrade flag is -U, not -u. - server/linux/deploy-tar: 'rm - rf' had a stray space inside the flag. The way the documentation currently describes searching for
x_830655_mm_std_servicenow_for_mattermost_notifications_auth_list.doesn't work in the latest ServiceNow releases. The most straightforward way of accessing it now is straight trough the URL, and it is also the safest as it's backwards compatible all the way to the oldest still-supported ServiceNow releases (Utah / Vancouver) all the way through the latest (Zurich).
