We use branch automerge to avoid noise.

@htunnicliff this is ready for review, but we cannot merge it yet: it needs branch protection changes (we seem to currently require review).

@gzm0 would you mind changing the branch name to renovate/reconfigure? I believe that will trigger additional config validation for us, based on these docs.
