Antenna Analysis - Data Science Application

ExTC Enginnering, an acronym for ‘Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering’, is a broad field of study and has numerous applocations in applicationsour daily life, ranging from the semiconductor chips in our smartphones and laptops to the WI-Fi and wireless communication we use everyday.

Data science is a field based on statistical, computational, and analytical methods to derive insights from data. This involves application of techniques in computer science, mathematics, and domain knowledge to analyze huge datasets so that patterns or trends become apparent. Applications of this include personalized recommendations on stream platforms, fraud detection in the banking industry, health diagnostics, and even predicting traffic patterns in order to optimize commutes. Data science analyzes data, which helps in business and personal decisions that improve efficiency and quality of life.

This project aims to apply data science in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. A dataset related to antenna parameter ‘S11’ and other signal and antenna parameters is used, and various data science processes like Data Cleaning, Data Correlation, Data Analysis, etc. are implemented.

Part-1 deals with basic Data Science process, focusing on cleaning data and using inbuilt functions to analyse data and draw conclusions from it.

Part-2 focuses on more in-depth approach, for identifying correlated parameters and drawing inferences and Data Normalization, in addition to basic processes like data cleaning.
