ROS Tooling

This organization is dedicated to filling extra application utilities and developer tooling for ROS 2. The definition of "tooling" is broad, but the scope here excludes the core functionality of ROS as a middleware framework.

Rosbag2 & Tooling Working Group

The "Rosbag2 & Tooling Working Group" uses this org as a home base for work outside the core, including:

  • GitHub Actions for CI of ROS projects
  • topic_tools: nodes for manipulating topics in your application
  • Rosbag2 B-Roll extension for dealing with encoded video streams

ROSgraph Working Group

The ROSgraph working group also keeps its repositories here, including:

  • NoDL: The ROS Node Definition Language
  • Graph Monitor: observes and reports application graph as rosgraph_msgs, has a global topic statistics implementation, and evaluates certain graph conditions to diagnostic_msgs.
