Relates to #146

Though this only contains front matter at the moment, the intent is to write a full definition.

I figured it would be easiest to define each of the words in #146 in individual PRs, but I am happy to include the other terms if that is preferred.

Unresolved questions:

  • Should dude be flagged?
    • Though there is a small amount of controversy, I am writing this based on my research and my own understanding that dude, in all of its syntactic functions, is generally accepted to be gendered, and in usage acts to exclude or broadly assume gender (and so should be avoided).
  • Is dude accurately described as a noun when used as a discourse marker or exclamation? Does that distinction actually matter?

EDIT: I am moving my questions to comments.

Should dude be flagged as avoid?

@oakthielbar ! What an excellent definition! I didn't know that dude had AAVE roots (which is motivation for defining AAVE).

I added a few suggestions (which are non-critical, but hopefully add nuance).

Once this is merged in, would it be okay with you if I thanked you on Self-Defined's Twitter?

@tatianamac Thank you very much!

I think your suggestions added a lot of depth and clarity to the definition, so I committed them as-is. I really appreciate the help.

I think I messed things up by rebasing the remote master onto my local master and merging that in to my branch after this PR was created. There are many files in this PR now which are not related to my changes. I'm not sure how to best resolve this.

EDIT: I apparently just had to hit the button near the bottom of the PR page for updating my branch to align with master, so the above paragraph appears to be a non-issue.

As for Twitter, it would be an honor! 😄
