Alias Scene Breakdown

If you are using Shotgun for managing your Published Files, use the Scene Breakdown app to keep your references up to date. All standard reference while you can continue to use the Alias Reference Manager for any other management of your references

To use the Scene Breakdown, you must load files into Alias using the Shotgun Load app. If you reference files using Alias's Reference Manager, they will not show up.

The difference between Alias's Reference Manager and the Shotgun Scene Breakdown are:

  • The Scene Breakdown will allow you to "version up" to get the latest Published Files when using Shotgun's versioning system.
  • Where Alias's reference "Update" updates a single file based on a time stamp.
