testcowork

A landing zone for data pushed by Claude Cowork sessions.

This repo has no application code — it exists purely so that Cowork sessions (and any other automated agents) have a durable, version-controlled place to drop files: reports, exports, datasets, logs, or anything else worth keeping a record of.

Layout

Data lives under data/, organized by the date it was pushed:

data/
  YYYY/
    MM/
      DD/
        <files pushed that day>

For example, something pushed on August 3, 2026 goes in data/2026/08/03/.

See data/README.md for naming conventions and details.

Pushing data here

  1. Create (or reuse) today's folder: data/YYYY/MM/DD/.
  2. Drop your file(s) in with a descriptive name — see data/README.md for the naming convention.
  3. Commit and push. Prefer small, focused commits — one per logical drop of data rather than batching unrelated pushes together.
  4. If the content needs explanation (what it is, where it came from, how it was generated), add a short note alongside it — either a sibling .md file or a paragraph in the day's context if one exists.

There's no required branch or PR workflow for routine data drops — pushing directly to main is expected and fine, since this repo isn't shipping code that needs review. Use a branch + PR only if you're changing the structure or conventions themselves (as opposed to just adding data).

Why this exists

Cowork sessions are ephemeral — their containers get reclaimed. Anything generated during a session that's worth keeping needs to land somewhere durable before the session ends. This repo is that somewhere.
