Renovate PR — DevSecOps sweep (2026-08-14). CI gate failure blocks auto-merge. Failed check(s):
This is a major version bump (brace-expansion 2.1.2 → 5.0.9, transitive via minimatch@9). Please fix the failing checks. The next sweep will re-evaluate once CI is green. |

Autopilot: minimatch@9>brace-expansion 2.1.2 → 5.0.9 (major bumps v2 → v5, two majors at once). CI blocked: Lint, Test, Build & Security = FAILURE. Different minimum-release-age from PR #76 (v1→v5). Please investigate the lint failure and re-run CI before merging. |

DevSecOps sweep: skipping — required check 'Lint, Test, Build & Security' is FAILING. brace-expansion 2.1.2 → 5.0.9 (transitive of minimatch@9) is a MAJOR bump; v5 changed to ES Modules, which commonly breaks CJS call sites. Please triage and rerun. |

Renovate daily sweep (DevSecOps autopilot, 2026-08-18): this PR updates brace-expansion 2.1.2 → 5.0.9 (transitive via minimatch@9, MAJOR delta). Branch name renovate/minimatch9-brace-expansion-5.x confirms major. Per the autopilot risk-tier policy, major bumps require human approval. CI is also failing on Lint, Test, Build & Security (other checks green). Files: pnpm-lock.yaml + pnpm-workspace.yaml (no package.json change). Skipping auto-merge — please review and address both blockers manually.

DevSecOps daily sweep: classifying as major (brace-expansion 2.1.2 → 5.0.9, transitively pulled in by minimatch@9). Major version jump + CI failing (Lint, Test, Build & Security FAILURE). Skipping auto-merge; requesting human review and a rebase.

This PR is auto-flagged for human review.
PR #77 bumps brace-expansion (via minimatch@9) from 2.1.2 to 5.0.9 — a major bump (skipping 3 and 4). Major bumps require human approval.
CI status: Lint, Test, Build & Security is FAILING. brace-expansion v5 changed behavior around unbalanced braces; the failures are likely related. Please review and merge manually if acceptable after triaging the lint breakage.

DevSecOps autopilot: skipped — MAJOR bump (brace-expansion 1.1.16 → 5.0.9) AND CI failing (Lint, Test, Build & Security = FAILURE). Big version jump through several majors (including ESM-only v3 and v5); please review the breaking changes and the failing build before merging.

DevSecOps Renovate sweep 2026-10-26 — skipped-blocked.
Same override problem as #76: Not a security fix either — 2.1.7 is already patched for GHSA-3jxr-9vmj-r5cp (fixed in 2.0.2). Not merged. Full sweep report: TIM-464. |

Recommendation: close this PR. It is a no-op that will keep re-entering the queue. The override that actually matters is |

DevSecOps Renovate sweep 2026-11-03 — flagged as suspicious (not merged).
Lint, Test, Build & Security is green now, so the CI block from the earlier sweeps is gone. The remaining problem is the override itself — and my 2026-10-09 note ("brace-expansion 5.x is ESM-only") was the wrong diagnosis.
minimatch@9>brace-expansion 2.1.7 → 5.0.12 forces v5 onto a consumer that cannot take it:
minimatch@9.0.5declaresbrace-expansion: ^2.0.1and consumes it as__importDefault(require("brace-expansion")), then calls(0, brace_expansion_1.default)(pattern).brace-expansion@5.0.12sets__esModule: trueand exports only named bindings (expand,EXPANSION_MAX,EXPANSION_MAX_LENGTH,EXPANSION_MAX_DEPTH,EXPANSION_MAX_REWRITES).__importDefaultreturns the module unchanged when__esModuleis set, so.defaultisundefined→TypeError: (0 , brace_expansion_1.default) is not a functionon any brace pattern.- The ESM path fails too: v5's
dist/esm/index.jshas no default export, soimport expand from "brace-expansion"is aSyntaxError.
Green CI does not clear this — the brace-pattern path is not exercised by the test suite. It is also not a security fix: 2.1.7 already carries the EXPANSION_MAX_LENGTH / EXPANSION_MAX_DEPTH / EXPANSION_MAX_REWRITES hardening, and OSV lists no advisory against 2.1.7 or 5.0.12.
The neighbouring override is fine, for contrast: minimatch@10>brace-expansion: 5.0.12 is already in main, and minimatch@10 declares brace-expansion: ^5.0.8 and imports { expand } — the named-export shape v5 actually provides. The problem is specifically forcing v5 onto the v3 and v9 consumers.
Recommendation: close this PR and keep minimatch@9>brace-expansion on the patched 2.x line, or move the minimatch@9 consumer to v10 first. Needs a human decision.
Full sweep report: TIM-477.

DevSecOps Renovate sweep 2026-11-04 — suspicious, do not merge. Superseded by #99.
This PR forces brace-expansion@5.0.12 onto minimatch@9. minimatch@9.0.5 does __importDefault(require('brace-expansion')) then (0, brace_expansion_1.default)(pattern) — brace-expansion@5 sets __esModule: true and exports only named bindings, so .default is undefined and the call raises TypeError on any brace pattern. The ESM path is worse: SyntaxError, v5 has no default export. CI is green only because the test suite never exercises the brace-pattern path, so this breakage would ship silently.
Recommended action: close this PR. It is superseded by #99 (open, CI fully green), which pins minimatch to 11.0.4. That removes minimatch@9 from the tree entirely and makes the minimatch@9>brace-expansion override inert. Once #99 merges, this PR has nothing left to do.
Not a security fix: brace-expansion@2.1.7 already carries the EXPANSION_MAX_LENGTH / EXPANSION_MAX_DEPTH / EXPANSION_MAX_REWRITES hardening, and OSV lists no advisory against 2.1.7 or 5.0.12. The real advisory here is the minimatch ReDoS (GHSA-3ppc-4f35-3m26), which #99 fixes properly by pinning minimatch 11.0.4 and dropping the auditConfig.ignoreGhsas suppression.

DevSecOps Renovate sweep 2026-11-05 — suspicious, do not merge. Correction: this PR is inert, and my 2026-11-04 mechanism was wrong.
Head bc216e5, unchanged, CI green. This PR rewrites the minimatch@9>brace-expansion override 2.1.7 → 5.0.12 — 2 files, 2 insertions, 2 deletions.
Correction to my 2026-11-04 note. I wrote that minimatch@9.0.5 consumes brace-expansion via __importDefault(require('brace-expansion')) and calls (0, brace_expansion_1.default)(pattern), so v5's missing default export would throw. Wrong on two counts:
- The version in this tree is
minimatch@9.0.7, whose CJS build calls(0, brace_expansion_1.expand)(pattern)— the named export, which is exactly whatbrace-expansion@5provides. v9 would work fine with v5. - More fundamentally: this PR changes nothing.
minimatch@9is not in the tree. The lockfile package set is identical tomain— 0 packages added, 0 removed. The override keyminimatch@9>brace-expansionmatches no installed package, so it is a no-op.
Recommendation: close this PR. Inert diff, and superseded by #99 (open, CI fully green), which pins minimatch to 11.0.4.
Human approval needed. Full sweep report: TIM-480.
