In recent months, we have received a growing number of AI-generated issues, pull requests, and security reports.
We are supportive of responsible AI use in software development. AI can be helpful, and we do not object to contributors using it as part of their workflow. However, submissions to this project still need to meet a reasonable quality bar and remain suitable for human review.
In practice, AI-generated content can be produced very quickly, but it can also contain hallucinations, inaccurate claims, repetitive reports, or low-quality changes. Reviewing these submissions often requires additional maintainer time and attention. At the moment, our maintainers and community moderators do not have the capacity to review all such content at the volume we are currently receiving.
Because of this, if maintainers or community moderators determine that an issue, pull request, or security report appears to be mass-generated, low-quality, or insufficiently validated, it may be closed without detailed review or response.
This is not a ban on AI-assisted contributions. It is a practical policy intended to keep our review process sustainable and focused on submissions that are specific, verified, and actionable.
We may revisit this policy in the future as our review workflow and automation improve. Until then, please make sure that any AI-assisted submission has been carefully checked by a human before it is opened.
Thank you for helping us keep the project reviewable and maintainable.
