Restore main-branch Core file paths in branch history so review diffs show recovered files as modifications instead of additions.

Markdown reads and writes CommonMark + GFM + math with registered Plate tags
instead of MDX. Any string parses; unknown HTML stays literal text with a
diagnostic, and `partial` hides an unfinished trailing tag in streaming
previews.

- Mappings select standard nodes with `node` or Plate tags with `tag`, run
through one compiled dispatch model, and read/write tag attributes through
  a schema-kind codec; expected refusals return `refuse(message)`.
- Mark mappings decode to schema values and encode through childless
`wrap` wrappers; inherited text properties are `marks`.
- Serialize reuses one format context per conversion and installs only the
  tag writer.
- Cut remarkMdx, remarkMention, recovery, node filters, per-call rules and
remark plugins, standalone slice/inline parsers and the block-ID writer.
- Docs, doctrine (Plate Next v247-v248), registry output, review ledger and
the tracked Markdown benchmark receipt follow the new contract.

Also includes the other in-progress working-tree changes: HTML parse-loss
reporting, media HTML mappings and document conversion contracts.

- Stabilize indicator line for adjacent blocks: compute gap-center Y
between siblings so "P1 after" and "P2 before" produce identical lines
- Derive block-drag copy intent from session + modifier keys only,
  ignoring browser-initialized dataTransfer.dropEffect that could
cause in-place drops to duplicate blocks
- Always preventDefault on dragover for block drags to suppress
  native I-beam cursor over contentEditable

The row handle rendered 26px wide (the outline variant's px-3 beat p-0) and
overflowed the 8px control column, covering the first cell's block handle and
showing on any row hover. It now fits a 16px control column, shows only when
that column is hovered, and the column sits above the table's block gutter.
Row drag opacity moves to the data cells, because opacity on the row trapped
the handle under the gutter and Chrome cancelled the drag. The first column's
left-edge resize handle is removed so that edge belongs to the row handle.

The table block's handle now stays visible while the pointer is anywhere in
the table instead of flickering as cell handles appear, and the block handle
tooltip hides when its trigger is detached rather than fading in the corner.

Ariakit scrolls a keyboard-moved option into view only from its own
Combobox input, which the editor replaces, so ArrowUp/ArrowDown in the
mention, slash, emoji and footnote popups could highlight an option
outside the visible list. InlineCombobox now scrolls the active option on
every store move without taking focus from the editor. When filtering
removes the active option, the reset to the first option is a move too,
so it scrolls back into view; opening the popup still does not scroll.

Every rule, lesson, check and route that the plan's cuts remove gets a row
here before any cut lands: its frozen source quote and blob, and its new home
quoted or its logged drop. A reader who did not write each row checked it;
31 rows still refuted after recheck are open work in the plan, and 91 rows
are owner rulings that take their recommendation by default.
The kit's startBlockDrag wraps the drag image clones in a bg-background div, so a block drag shows an opaque white box. The planned change removes that background and draws the image at 50% opacity, checked by real macOS drags in Chrome and Safari. The owner held the build on 2026-10-07, so this commit adds only the plan and its decision log.

The copied kit's startBlockDrag wrapped the drag clones in a
bg-background div, so every block, column and table row drag showed an
opaque box under the pointer. The wrapper now draws the clones at half
opacity with no background, matching the dragging opacity of the source
block. The dnd docs and the registry changelog describe the new image,
and the regenerated registry output also carries drift from earlier
source changes.

The native Chrome and Safari drag image is not verified yet; the plan
docs/plans/2026-10-07-dnd-translucent-drag-image.md tracks that check.

The reflect run after the dnd side-drop build turned up workflow lessons. The Plan playbook now loads verify before writing a proof gate, and the Build playbook runs reachable pnpm check steps before an expensive acceptance run. The verify, benchmark, best-api, plate-plugins and plate-ui rules and their generated skills add the rest. AGENTS.md lists the three lessons that wait for pstack's shared source. pnpm install regenerated the sync-shadcn policy mirror, which drops two references.

Plite's transfer had only before and after edges, so a block could not land beside another. A drag now resolves a side target from a block's inline-end strip, or from the root padding beside a top-level block once the pointer is 20 px past where the drag started. A new transfer.side read lets a feature decide what beside builds, and vetoes receive that wrap. The Column plugin builds or extends a column group of at most five columns, and Footnote keeps its definitions at the root. The copied dnd kit adds Move beside previous and next to the handle menu and re-resolves the drop line on scroll. Docs, Vision, the registry and changesets describe the drop, and the plans and review records record its proof and open limits.
