N'ko Context-based shaping & positioning: Diacritic placement

The draft N'ko Layout Requirements document shows diacritic placement varying in vertical position in relation to the base letter. This is incorrect, even though this is how it is implemented in Noto.

Incorrect:

It is our understanding that the diacritics should all be placed at the same height. This was something that we discussed with WODN when developing Kigelia. I have just reconfirmed this with Solo Farabado.

Is there ever a situation where ߳ [U+07F3 NKO COMBINING DOUBLE DOT ABOVE​] (used to represent foreign sounds like /y/, /ǝ/, and /ʕa/) are used in combination with a tone mark? If so, how is the double-diacritic handled?

@r12a, Ahh yes sorry, WODN is the World Organization for the Development of N'ko.

Let me look into the second point. I haven't actually seen an U+07F3 used with other marks. Theoretically stacking would only occur when a U+07F3 is placed over a vowel. It is likely that they are primarily used in loan words which may not have other tonal notation. I need to investigate further.

I inquired about this. When the U+07F3 is used on a vowel for loan sounds then other tone marks are not used. The only time two marks are used on a single letter is when one of them is ߲ [U+07F2 NKO COMBINING NASALIZATION MARK]
