The method is called “Random Reminder Sound”, and it was originally created by the content creator Ze’en:

Before you start focusing, set up a random reminder sound. For example, you can set a reminder that goes off at a random time within a 3-to-5-minute range.

When you hear the reminder, immediately close your eyes and rest for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, continue doing whatever you were working on.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you’ve maintained 90 minutes of continuous focus. Then take a 20-minute break. After 20 minutes, come back and use the same method to focus for another 90 minutes, and repeat this cycle.
