In case of extreme urgency for a patch, if the maintainer is not available, you can push a new zephyr_<iso_date> branch to this repository, and create a PR targeting that zephyr_ branch with a hotfix. Before merging that PR, you should test it using Zephyr's CI by creating a PR in Zephyr which points to that PR.

Under no circumstances should this replica main branch be diverged from its upstream main branch. In that case, the branch will be brought back to track the upstream discarding the diverging commits.
