<p><strong>The Adler Zooniverse team in Chicago is currently seeking a skilled mobile developer to join our team as a part-time contractor.</strong></p>
<p>As a mobile developer, you will be responsible for enhancing the Zooniverse mobile app, available on both <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zooniverse/id1194130243">iOS</a> and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zooniversemobile">Android</a> platforms. Your main tasks will include identifying and implementing crucial improvements to the code base and architecture, as well as developing and deploying a robust notification system. Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining the code base. This NASA-funded position is for an initial period of 2 years, with potential for extension beyond that. In Year 1, you can expect to work approximately 480 hours spread out over 6 to 9 months. In Year 2, the workload will average around 10 hours per month, totaling approximately 120 hours. Please note that this position is offered on a part-time contractor basis within our team.</p>

<li>Demonstrated experience developing mobile applications</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with React Native (the language the Zooniverse mobile app is written in)</li>

<li>Firebase or other tools/platforms for push notifications</li>
<li>Web application frameworks (like Ruby on Rails, Django, etc.)</li>

<p>Salary range: $85-$100 USD/hour.</p>
