Color picker control
This is the shape of a color control by default
It is in HEX by default (it can be controlled in WinPaletter settings)
You can restore into default color by a right-click then choosing the default color
You can drag a color into another color to make it easier and quicker to change colors

Each item has a default color, to pick it you should drag from the small circle that refers to the default color and drop it as you learned before

- This will open WinPaletter color picker
- There are 7 types of pickers, you can pick a color from one you like
- Pressing on this button will import palette from a selected file. It can be from Adobe PhotoShop Color Swatch (.aco), Adobe Color Table (.act), Paint.NET (.txt), GIMP (.gpl), Deluxe Paint (.bbm), Deluxe Paint (.lbm), JASC (.pal), Raw RGB Triplets (.pal)
It is either from current wallpaper or an image on your device
Do this if you selected image
as a source
This will convert the image into a small image, so it will speed up the process but it may lose colors
Press on Result
, then on Extract
and when the process ends, press on a color
- You can extract from a theme file (.theme/.msstyles)
- Or you can extract from native Windows presets, open this menu and select a preset
- Then press on a color from extraction process
- You can extract colors from current WinPaletter theme or default WinPaletter themes for Windows XP up to 11
- Then press on a color from extraction process
- Press on this area and keep your mouse button pressed
- Move your mouse and stop on the pixel you like
- Release your finger from the mouse, this pixel color will be picked up

Use classic color picker instead of WinPaletter's default one on pressing on a color palette item
This is the context menu of a color control
This is the color from which this context menu is opened, with a track bar to control color degrees (from dark to light)
This is the default color for current item, with a track bar to control color degrees (from dark to light)
This is the previous color for current item, with a track bar to control color degrees (from dark to light)
This is the inverted color degree from which this context menu is opened, with a track bar to control color degrees (from dark to light)
Pressing on one color from these will select this color
- It contains history for colors changes for current item
You can change style of WinPaletter color control in settings
