Edit Windows consoles (Command Prompt and PowerShell)
- Click on this button
- Select the console you want to modify
Make it checked to make WinPaletter apply changes to the console
You can modify 4 aspects in consoles: colors, fonts, cursor and tweaks

There are 16 colors sorted in tables from

You can choose colors from the lower track bars, choosing a number means choosing its associated color from colors tables

You can change background and foreground of both console and console pop-up

You can change font type, weight and size

The only fonts you can select are monospaced (fixed pitch) fonts

You can force using other fonts by checking this, but the console will render these fonts wrongly

These weights are not availabe for all fonts, if the selected font supports these weights, the console will render the font in the selected weight

Raster font toggle is a toggle to enable the classic pixelated (retro) font in console. Selecting it will ignore the selected font and weight, and font size will be replaced by a list of dimensions:

You can change cursor size in all versions of Windows

You can change cursor color and style in Windows 10 1909 and later (provided that enhanced terminal is checked in 'Tweaks' section)

You can get use of tweaks if you are using Windows 10 1909 and later

The tweaks are: enhanced terminal, line selection, terminal scrolling and window opacity

Load: it will load current console preferences into current open WinPaletter theme, and will close this form so you can continue modifying other Windows aspects and finally press on Apply on main form to apply all aspects in the open theme.

Quick apply: it will apply current console preferences instantly to test their real effects on system.

Cancel: it will close this form without loading any modification made to the console
If you have pressed on 'Quick apply' or applied the whole theme, this button will open an instance of console so you can see the real effects of modifications you made.
Its modification is exactly the same as previous steps, except for terminal selection and applying
