Features may or may not make it into a first release (or at all), just a listing of some ideas.

Battlefield Auras

Skills that can affect everyone, friend and foe alike (possibly having equipment that blocks auras). They could also just permanently exist as a part of the field itself, like a swamp giving a chance to poison every turn. Other ideas include blocking skills of a certain category or above/below a certain level.

Formations

Boosts or penalizes stats of characters in a certain position of the party, borrowed from the Breath of Fire series. Three physical characters could stand in front of a mage, reducing their defense a bit to guard the mage, etc. Possibly give this ability to monster parties as well, and even let them be disrupted by certain attacks.
