The list of races and possible races. A character's race is what they decide first during the creation process, and plays a part in base stats, stat growth, gender selection, class selection, and available equipment. Race modifiers should exist, as well, to give custom perks to certain races (maybe higher evasion rates, reduced damage from elements, etc.) Probably defined as a permanent passive skill. Custom action skills also a possibility.

Human

The standard, all-around race. No big stat ranges, and generally a large selection of classes and equipment available. Overall the most flexible, but could miss out on various race-based perks enjoyed by others.

Others

Obviously want more, will likely have to go with other generic fantasy races or else come up with custom ones (that will inevitably map back to generic fantasy races...)

Mecha

Just an idea at this point, will likely not exist for a while. Provides a different play style by having almost all of its skills cost SP or Tension, with its skills coming from equipment. Tension gain could be customized for characters of this race to give a certain amount per turn, like a powerplant filling up capacitors. Then it could spend Tension to use a "beam cannon" skill provided by a shoulder-mounted piece of equipment, swing an energy sword, etc. Expensive equipment, limited class types, difficulty to heal, and weakness to water/lightning could be severe weaknesses to offset high power.
