Context

Loose research file (MIGRATION_ASSESSMENT.md) was sitting untracked on main, making the working tree dirty across sessions. Committing it so the analysis lives with the code that prompted it.

TL;DR

Land a previously-untracked architectural assessment so main is clean.

Summary

  • Adds MIGRATION_ASSESSMENT.md at repo root (already authored by maintainer).
  • No code change. Pure docs.

Alternatives

  • .gitignore it — rejected; the analysis has long-term reference value.
  • Leave untracked — rejected; pollutes git status on every session.

Test Plan

  • git status clean after merge.
  • [N/A] No code changed; CI runs default.

173-line architectural analysis comparing this Elixir fork against
a hypothetical Go rewrite on contrabass. Records the reasoning behind
keeping the multi-project / cross-state-vocabulary work on this fork
rather than upstreaming the full structural changes.
