Feature Title

CD: Enable Drag-and-Drop File System Upload

Problem

Uploading file using the traditional way of picking files in the file picker dialog can be cumbersome and slow.

Goal

Streamline the process of adding new content to the Content Drive by allowing users to drag and drop files from their local file system directly into a selected folder. This reduces the steps required to upload content, improving user efficiency.

Demo Expectations

• Demonstrate dragging and dropping files from a local file system into the content listing area.
• Verify that the uploaded files appear in the content listing for the selected folder.
• Display the progress indicator during the upload.
• Show that the file types accepted depends the folder type selected.
• Demonstrate an error message occurring if a large size file, beyond what admin allows, is uploaded.

Success Criteria

• User can drag and drop one or more files from their local file system into the content listing area.
• Files are uploaded to the folder selected by the user (file tree selected in file tree).
• A progress indicator displays during the upload process.
• Error messages are displayed for failed uploads (e.g., due to file type restrictions or size limits).
