[Task] Audit and accept Elsa 3 source consolidation on main #8749

Closed

Description

@sfmskywalker

Actual-main source acceptance

Accepted through PR #8751 at 6179e6c360a1beeb01a717d6ef39fbc98a0e919a. The actual-main acceptance receipt records every #8740 criterion, exact-head gates, actual-main tree/history, final native verification, donor freshness, preservation of user changes and cutoff activation.

Operational requirements remain open under #8741: #8216 contribution and maintenance authority, #8219 compatibility and release selection, #8220 candidate/artifact/publication/recovery, #8636 updater, #8643 full 3.10 Hosted/browser certification and #8725 release verification. Source acceptance grants no publication, deployment, publisher activation, retirement or archival authority. #8736 stays queued; no operational Task activates automatically.

Task scope and earlier activation notes (retained)

Outcome

Finish the bounded #8740 Elsa 3 source consolidation after Apps #8746 and Templates #8748 are accepted on the shared integration branch. Native parent: #8214. This task owns final source/history freshness, contributor documentation, shared-to-main integration, and source acceptance evidence. Operational closeout stays with #8741.

Scope and acceptance

  • Refresh [Program] Consolidate Elsa 3 source in one repository #8740, board Add Entity Framework provider #52, actual main, remote shared integration head, all donor main/release refs and tags, open source PRs, source issue registers, dependencies and existing matching PRs. Adopt matching work. Keep exactly one delivery Task active.
  • Reconcile accepted Reconcile 3.8/3.9 release history and refresh Studio and Extensions imports #8624 release/source catch-up and accepted Core/Studio/Extensions import and directory evidence without repeating implementation. Verify applicable 3.8.x/3.9.0 refs and subsequent source commits, including Apps and Templates. Distinguish included source, applicable adopted PR changes, retained ancestry only, and unresolved contributions.
  • Retain any still-unreachable donor routing-notice tips as explicitly documented non-content history parents, preserving the current accepted source tree and Core corrections such as the Russian translation. Refresh before choosing exact tips; do not reapply donor trees or publisher changes.
  • Verify root core/, studio/, extensions/, apps/, templates/ navigation and developer instructions, original source attribution, solution/build filters, source paths and nonpublishing CI. Preserve separate product/package/image/template identities and independent build/release boundaries. Correct current contributor guidance that implies all products must republish together, while preserving dated historical ADR evidence.
  • Correct the Apps integration note’s prospective133 current-exclusion total: native dc27 proof measured232 packages/132 exclusions, including9 Apps exclusions. Describe current inventory as evaluated/dynamic and preserve original225/124 archive identity; do not freeze another current total.
  • Record a reproducible, timestamped donor-ref/PR inventory and source-of-truth cutoff. Document where new Elsa 3 development and contributions go, how post-cutoff donor arrivals are reconciled, and how supported maintenance work remains accounted for. Do not imply donor retirement or operational publisher cutover.
  • Open/adopt one reviewed final shared-to-actual-main PR. Normal merge preserves all donor ancestry. Require exact-head independent Elsa 3 Code Review APPROVE/HIGH, repository Greptile gate, addressed review feedback, and all applicable exact-head CI. Inspect actual-main merge/tree/history and required post-merge verification before acceptance. No force/admin bypass.
  • Publish requirement-by-requirement completion evidence for [Program] Consolidate Elsa 3 source in one repository #8740; close only satisfied source issues and native source parents. Preserve all operational requirements and explicitly hand off remaining candidate inventory/versioned archive compatibility, publication, updater/publisher cutover, deployment and retirement to [Program] Transfer Elsa 3 releases and retire source repositories #8741 with their existing owners.

Excluded

No repository rename, Elsa 1/2 extraction, Elsa 4, Slack, React Studio, publication, deployment, archival, full release certification, new runtime capability or unrelated dependency cleanup. A demonstrated dependency preventing source acceptance must be surfaced rather than hidden or moved out of scope without evidence.

Verification

Immutable import histories and original ledgers; fresh live ref/contribution comparisons; product/root solution and nonpublishing CI evidence from each accepted slice; final exact-head review and CI; actual-main merge/readback; preservation of unrelated user changes. Skipped, unavailable and unverified evidence are reported separately.

Active as the sole delivery Task after Apps #8746 and Templates #8748 acceptance. Shared head is 5403eda00557c20e39306863d53213afb7308e55; no matching final shared-to-main PR exists at activation. Native dependency #8748 is closed. Lead owns final integration and QA, with bounded documentation and source-history audits delegated. Existing isolated QA worktree is reused; unrelated canonical changes and untracked QA cache are preserved. No operational delivery task is activated.

#8749 is the sole active delivery Task (board52 readback: In Progress / Assigned / Running). Native dependency #8748 is closed; Apps and Templates source Features are accepted. Fresh matching final shared-to-main PR search found none, so no competing implementation is being created.

Shared acceptance head is 5403eda00557c20e39306863d53213afb7308e55; actual main remains c46850de361cb84f267845ba66394c87262e2aab. The lead reused an isolated QA worktree and created local non-content history retention commit d3ed761296f1801d502b772fccaf30cc2db33166, whose ordered parents are shared5403, Studio d57fc46fd3605b7b2ee839306c7420a170c17ddd and Extensions 2611ee6d9b6fb5e50f4c0b3fbc9cc15b355b4751. Its tree d7d2d2e89c905f1ed9374fd163897778bfdcbce6 is identical to shared5403. This retains late donor history without reapplying routing notices or overwriting the accepted Russian translation correction. It is preparation for the final reviewed integration, not actual-main acceptance.

Sol6.1 High is assigned the bounded cutoff/contributor documentation; Luna6 Extra High is independently checking source history and release coverage. The lead retains review, integration, verification and public writes. No local heavy .NET/Docker tests, publisher actions or canonical checkout edits are assigned. Canonical user diff and project bytes were independently rechecked unchanged.

The fresh source inventory contains four donors,223 raw head/tag/peeled refs,33 open PRs and207 open issues. Every recorded identity matches the retained intake; read intervals are not atomic freezes and do not assert full body/label equality. Latest GitHub release is3.9.0 for Core/Studio/Extensions/Templates; Apps advertises no tags/releases and retains its own main-source and package-consumer proof. The final cutoff will require another freshness comparison immediately before merge plus actual-main verification. All operational requirements remain #8741 with their existing owners.

    Final shared-to-actual-main PR: #8751 at 3b977a5bc2554463b55afdb21a0d733a215c1e94.

Independent exact-head Elsa3 Code Review APPROVE/HIGH, raw Spec/Standards reports and two clean lead review passes: #8751 (comment).

The prepared cutoff pins all four donors, relevant release refs,207 open issues and33 PR dispositions. It explicitly separates213 named head/tag refs from ten peeled-target rows. Retained history adds the late Studio/Extensions tips without changing the accepted shared tree. Product source/config/tools match accepted Apps/Templates slices; only seven contributor/evidence docs were added/updated afterward.

#8749 remains the sole active delivery Task, now InReview/Running. Applicable exact-head CI, Greptile and CodeRabbit are running. No cutoff activation or actual-main acceptance is claimed yet. Remaining operational work stays #8741; #8736 remains queued.

PR #8751 merged normally to actual main at 6179e6c after all exact-head gates passed. Reopening the automatically closed Task while its required postmerge verification is still running: main Packages38197558111, CodeQL and quality checks. Board remains the sole active Task In Progress / In Review / Running. Source cutoff activation and #8740 closeout are not claimed yet; no operational Task is activated.

Actual-main source acceptance and cutoff activation — 2026-10-12. The lead accepts Program #8740 against the verified source criteria below. This posted receipt activates the source-of-truth cutoff at the recorded merge; later donor arrivals require dated, attributed Core continuations.

Program #8740’s source changes reached actual main through normal PR #8751, merged on 2026-10-12 at 02:53:11 UTC. The merge is 6179e6c360a1beeb01a717d6ef39fbc98a0e919a, with ordered parents c46850de361cb84f267845ba66394c87262e2aab and reviewed head 3b977a5bc2554463b55afdb21a0d733a215c1e94. Independent Git and API readbacks agree. Tree f7b0585366b010a2592037fc9c616f86dde8f1d7 exactly matches the reviewed head. The merge preserved ancestry without squash, force, an admin bypass, or reapplication of donor trees. Source validation did not activate publishers or upload packages or images to registries.

    #8740 requirement Evidence and disposition
Core, Studio and Extensions source, history, release catch-up and layout Accepted #8409/#8624 and #8667/#8669 remain intact, with original import and merge ancestry reachable from main. History-only commit d3ed761296f1801d502b772fccaf30cc2db33166 retains the current Studio and Extensions donor tips without changing accepted product content or the Russian correction. Relevant 3.8.x/3.9.0 release-ref counts reconcile as Core 12, Studio 13, Extensions 10, Apps 0 and Templates 2; raw annotated tag identities remain distinct from peeled commits. GitHub’s latest release is 3.9.0 for Core, Studio, Extensions and Templates; Apps has no GitHub releases. Later observed donor changes are included or explicitly recorded as ancestry or routing only.
Apps source, history, assets, contributions and nonpublishing validation #8747 and #8746/#8743 are accepted. All 89 original assets, 76 source commits and import parents are retained. The nine Apps projects remain released 3.9.0 package consumers with their app and image contracts preserved. Apps PR #9 is retained as ancestry only; its older 3.8.4 pins are superseded. Exact-head project builds and all six Ubuntu AMD64 image profiles passed, including HTTP, asset and applicable identity smoke checks. Image publication was disabled.
Templates source, history, package identity, commands and generated builds #8750 and #8748/#8744 are accepted. All 65 original assets, 29 main-history commits, 41 commits across the retained ref union, and 17 ref identities with tag evidence are preserved. Templates PR #9 was applied with attribution at 79469e023b7a26b0ff6ca3a5a64104f654466ea2; the donor PR remains open. The independent Elsa.Templates identity and elsa-server, elsa-studio and elsa-combined commands remain. All 20 isolated pack/install/generate/build cases passed at the reviewed head, with no failures or skips. Restore uses scoped official NuGet configuration without Core project references.
Five product roots, developer workflows, solutions, CI and attribution Main contains core/, studio/, extensions/, apps/ and templates/, with contributor instructions, product solutions and filters integrated. Apps consumers are nonpackable. Templates retains its separate product solution and package; root-solution integration is navigation only. The evaluated package inventory is 232 packages and 132 exclusions, including nine Apps exclusions and no Apps or Templates package entries. The historical 225/124 candidate and archive contracts remain unchanged. All three accepted ledger hashes and 240 per-item register pointers were verified. Independent product build and release boundaries remain intact.
Fresh arrivals, cutoff, completion evidence and operational handoff Fully paginated premerge reads ran from 02:42:23.921742 to 02:42:39.649854 UTC, followed by postmerge reads from 02:53:49.282975 to 02:53:54.922685 UTC on 2026-10-12. All four donors’ observed refs and open issue/PR identities were unchanged: 213 named refs plus ten peeled-target rows, 207 issues and 33 PRs with explicit dispositions. A final reconciliation from 03:13:52.794583 to 03:13:56.314727 UTC again found no changed recorded donor identities. Core release refs were rechecked at 03:14:23 UTC; latest release catalogs were refreshed from 03:15:46.978510 to 03:15:50.799017 UTC with the same 3.9.0 results. These reads do not establish an atomic freeze, full body/label equality, or bulk implementation. With this receipt, new Elsa 3 development moves to Core/main; later donor arrivals require dated, attributed Core continuations. Existing 3.8/3.9 maintenance procedures continue until an approved replacement is verified. #8741 retains operational ownership; #8736 remains queued.

The exact-head gate record reports independent Spec and Standards APPROVE/HIGH, two clean lead review passes, Greptile 5/5, completed CodeRabbit review and all 18 review threads resolved. The PR finished with 32 successful checks and three conditional skips.

Native repository results cover 103 project/framework rows: 7,865 passes, 144 skips and no failures. NUKE reports 7,699 passes; the 166-execution difference equals the additional 83-test Designer result rows on .NET 8 and .NET 9. Neither total represents deduplicated unique tests. Templates passed 20 cases; Tools ran 978 checks in normal mode and 978 in optimized mode, with four conditional skips in each and no failures. All six Apps image profiles passed.

Package proof run 38193552381, artifact 11723244726, has archive SHA-256 5a93cf75f9a61fa98ccf05fe091ec4ce401bb7d96ee24fd25dd3201b38f69730. Independent readback verified 464 package hashes, 232 packages, 132 exclusions, exact-head SourceLink and source inputs, three clean consumer target frameworks and six classic/shell admission cells. The run used SDK 10.0.401 and Node 22.23.3; publication flags were false. Consumers are representative, not proof of every package’s behavior. Greptile T-Rex remote uploads remain unconfirmed. The inherited mapped Slack rehearsal retains its historical scope, declared skips and incomplete closure; it does not certify new Slack capability or canonical runtime behavior.

Actual-main CI: PASSED. Packages run 38197558111 succeeded at the exact merge SHA. Unit/integration reported 5,050 passes / 144 skips / zero failures across 64 net10.0 project/framework rows; component TRX reported 227 passes / zero skips or failures. Their scoped sum is 5,277 passes, not an all-project/all-framework claim. CodeQL, Code Quality and applicable publication guards also passed; all main check runs finished 15 successful / six skipped, with none failed or pending. The Packages workflow had four successful and four skipped jobs: publication selection, Pages deployment, Feedz publication and NuGet publication were skipped. Internal package artifacts contain 110 Core packages plus symbols at 3.10.0-preview.5977; this ordinary main build does not replace the separately verified 232-package consolidated proof. Six main artifacts matched GitHub SHA-256 metadata and passed ZIP integrity checks, independently read back by the lead. Existing NU1608/NU1903 and other build warnings remain; a green result does not claim those warnings are resolved.

Final user-work preservation: PASSED at 03:17:48.932736 UTC. The canonical checkout remains at 806852c774533c6b26f0ba30b30b507e11f8b15d with the original ModularServer project change and untracked .codebase-memory/ untouched; its diff SHA-256 remains 9284da5340ee1b13b843151f8f3904447a85e4c8f42f473ca32f6220b1eaaf31. Implementation and integration used isolated worktrees. Repository policy deleted the merged remote integration branch; its reviewed head remains an ordered parent of main, preserving history.

Source-only closeout leaves #8741 obligations with #8216 for contribution and maintenance authority, #8219 for compatibility and release selection, #8220 for artifacts, archives, candidates, publication and recovery, #8636 for the updater, #8643 for full 3.10 Hosted/browser/profile certification, and #8725 for release verification. The inherited runtime and hardening handoff covers Apps signing-key and non-Development startup concerns, Templates Monaco, legacy-host and hybrid-IDE observations, and fixture/verifier hardening. This receipt does not certify browser, MySQL, ARM, production identity, deployed authorization, full release, publisher or repository retirement behavior. Full 3.10 certification does not become a prerequisite to the separately approved archive-first operational sequence.

This #8749 acceptance receipt supplies the external receipt identity, together with actual main merge 6179e6c360a1beeb01a717d6ef39fbc98a0e919a, and activates the source cutoff. The prepared source-cutoff.json remains immutable, with intentionally empty future-receipt fields; this external receipt is its activation record. All required source outcomes are merged and verified, permitting #8749/#8214/#8197/#8740 to close in dependency order. No operational task activates automatically; portfolio/history item #8194 remains open.

Source acceptance complete on actual main 6179e6c360a1beeb01a717d6ef39fbc98a0e919a through normal PR #8751. All required source criteria and native children are verified; see the requirement-by-requirement acceptance and activated cutoff receipt. Closing this source item as completed. Operational requirements remain open under #8741; #8736 stays queued, with no automatic activation or publication/deployment/archival approval.
