GWater2 - Beta Versions
These are all of the BETA versions of gwater2. Installation will need to be done manually.
and before you ask, No. you cannot use two versions at the same time.
Installation Steps
- Close GMod if you have not done so already (and remove
gwater2
from your addons folder if it exists) - Download the .zip file at the bottom of this post
- Find your GarrysMod folder, the easiest way to do this is by going to steam, right clicking the GarrysMod game in your steam library -> manage -> Browse local files
- Unzip the file on this post and drag one of the gwater2.zip files into the recently opened GarrysMod folder and unzip its contents INTO the folder. If done correctly, you should see
NvFlex
dlls inside of GarrysMod/ - Launch GMod and try it out.

Requirements
Important
In order to run GWater2 you MUST have a DirectX11 capable graphics card.
(Any graphics card manufactured later than 2012 should work fine)

For Windows (Installer):
- Subscribe to the workshop item, and close the game
- Download the .bat installer at the bottom of this post
- Run it, type 1, and hit enter to install
- If the installer fails for any reason, simply follow the Manual installation steps below
For Windows (Manual, if installer fails):
- Subscribe to the workshop item, and close the game
- Download the .zip file at the bottom of this post
- Find your GarrysMod folder, the easiest way to do this is by going to steam, right clicking the GarrysMod game in your steam library -> manage -> Browse local files
- Drag gwater2.zip into the recently opened GarrysMod folder and unzip its contents INTO the folder. If done correctly, you should see
NvFlex
dlls inside of GarrysMod/ - If you have installed this addon before the release, you will need to go to
GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons
and remove thegwater2
folder - If you need help, follow the installation video (link at the top)
For Linux:
- Native Linux currently does not work. See the readme for more information
- For now, use proton and follow the Windows manual installation steps
