Acknowledgement of checking existent issues

  • I have checked if my issue has already been reported, and I am certain that my problem has not already been addressed.

What problem did you encounter?

It is frequent that by launching Sober, an update need to be installed (which doesn't seem to be the same than flatpak's) and thus it is not launchable

Having tested it before opening this issue, I can verify that after an update, launching Sober could still resolve into having to wait for an update to "download" (maybe it is to unpack or execute some post-install steps instead)

Launching Sober again after this """in-app download""" doesn't make it have to "download" again

This is intended behavior, as Sober needs to re-download a new Roblox version sometimes.

@justundercover are there any way to trigger it from the outside?
It would be needed for topgrade-rs/topgrade#1018

No, there's no way to trigger it. I'll reopen the issue, since the usecase of topgrade for such a feature is compelling.
