New Locacaca are a food item that fully heals the player in exchange for transferring the damage to a nearby player or mob. If the user is has been petrified by eating a Locacaca, eating a New Locacaca will transfer the petrification to a nearby player or mob instead of healing the user. Transferred petrification is translated to heavy damage and a corresponding effect when transferred to mobs.
Petrification Transfer Effects (On mobs):
- Head: 20 Damage + Blindness
- Chest: 40 Damage
- Heart: 40 Damage
- Arm: 20 Damage + Mining Fatigue
- Leg: 20 Damage + Slowness
If two players are fusing parts together via eating a new Locacaca, and the one who is not eating the fruit has a curse already, the exchange will instead switch curses between the players.
Breaking a fully-grown Locacaca plant causes 1 Locacaca Branch to drop. Locacaca Branches can be planted onto cactus to create a New Locacaca plant. Upon growing to full size, New Locacaca plants transform their cactus into a Rooted Cactus and will grow New Locacaca that can be repeatedly harvested, similar to Sweet Berry Bushes and normal Locacaca plants.
